Orlando was at a total loss for words for a few moments, completely stunned by the raw pain on Dom's face. That brilliant face was made for sweet, crooked smiles, and infectious laughter, not for pain and tears. Orlando was a sensitive bloke...far *too* sensitive sometimes, and he felt his own eyes fill with tears at seeing Dom's. He finally choked them back and pulled Dom into a hug, speaking softly against his hair. "He does love you, Dommie. I *know* he does...he's the closest friend you have in the world, yeah?", he soothed quietly. Dom tensed in his grasp for a moment, then clung to Orlando, sobbing unabashedly against his costume. Orlando went on speaking, not knowing what to say or do, only knowing that he had to comfort Dom somehow. He couldn't stand seeing him like this. "Dommie, I don't know anything about this other bloke you're talking about, but if what you're saying is true...that he left Billy...well...I can't right say that *I* understand it either." Orlando frowned, knowing he wasn't exactly being helpful, but he was at least *trying*. Billy, on the other hand, Dom's best mate, and apparent at least one-time lover, was nowhere in sight. Orlando didn't get that at all...how could he leave Dommie out here crying and in pain? That made no sense, and furthermore, it just wasn't *Billy*. The Billy he knew would never do that, least of all to Dom. Orlando shook his head slightly as Dom straightened up, wiping at his eyes. "Sorry, Dommie...I'm not much help, am I?", he asked with a half-smile. Dom smiled back, sadly. "You're brilliant, 'lando.", he said softly. "And you're a good mate...the best. Thanks, man, truly.", he choked out. Orlando rubbed his back a couple more times, then impulsively leaned in and kissed him on the cheek, smiling at him. "Billy'll come around, Dommie. I'd stake my life on it. After all... how could he not? He's got the chance to be with you, to have you love him, and that's a very special thing. He'd be a bloody idiot to walk away from it." Orlando colored slightly, and looked down for a moment, then met Dom's eyes again, a little shyly. "Yeah, I'm babbling.", Orlando laughed a little. "Sorry. Was just trying to make a point." Dom looked at him, smiling a little more genuinely now. Orlando could almost always cheer him up...there was just something about the elf that made him smile, even when things were going to shit. Dom shook his head a little, then actually grinned, the first real smile he'd had since waking. "You're bloody adorable when y' blush, 'lando, d' you know that?", he asked, laughing a little, and wiping at his remaining tears. Orlando laughed, then only blushed more. "Shut it, hobbit.", he tried to growl, but it came out in more of a purr that got them both to giggling. After a moment, Orlando looked over to Dom and hooked an arm around his shoulder. "Ready to go back in, Dommie? They're gonna wonder where you got off to.", he said softly. Dom leaned his head against Orlando's shoulder, sighing a little. "In a minute. Can't face Billy just yet, not like this.", Dom whispered. "I don't want t' upset him, 've already put him through enough shite." Orlando frowned. He said nothing, but wondered to himself how in the bloody hell Dom could be thinking only of Billy's feelings, even as his heart was being torn out by the roots. It only made him admire Dom more, and also started a small seed of anger inside him at Billy, wondering how he could be so blind as to throw away someone that others would give just about anything to have.
